Is the app free?
Yes, completely. There is no purchase, no subscription, no premium tier, and no advertising. There is nothing to buy inside the app.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile of any kind. It never asks for your name, email, or phone number.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Every phrase is bundled inside the app. It works identically in airplane mode.
Why does Android ask for the display-over-other-apps permission?
That permission is what lets the app draw the reminder on your screen when you unlock your phone. It is the entire feature. The app uses it for nothing else — it does not read, record, or interact with what is underneath.
The reminders stopped appearing on my Android phone. What happened?
Some manufacturers — Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and Samsung in particular — shut down background services to save battery. Open your phone's battery settings, find Salli Ala Muhammad, and set it to unrestricted or allow autostart. The app also re-arms itself after reboot, so a restart often fixes it.
Where do the salawat phrases come from?
They are drawn from well-known forms of salawat and durood found in the hadith collections and in the traditional works of the scholars. They are stored as plain text inside the app.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes. On iOS the app provides a home-screen widget that refreshes hourly, plus hourly local notifications. The unlock overlay is Android-only, because iOS does not permit apps to draw over the system interface.
What data does the app collect?
None that leaves your device. Your language preference, reminder speed, whether the hourly timer is on, whether you have reduced the reminder frequency, and any pause you have set are stored in your phone's own storage so the app remembers them. That is the complete list.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstall the app. Because everything is stored locally and there is no server copy, uninstalling erases all of it permanently. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we never had it.
Can I change how long a reminder stays on screen?
Yes — fast, medium, or slow, in the app's settings screen. The app also scales the duration to the length of the phrase so longer forms of salawat are never truncated.
